BACKGROUND
The North East Recycling Forum (NERF) is a dedicated organisation that promotes recycling and sustainability initiatives across the North East of England. As part of its mission, NERF sought to enhance its digital presence through a modern, user-friendly, and mobile-optimised website. The aim was to better engage with stakeholders, improve access to resources, and amplify its message of sustainability. Intimation was tasked with turning their vision into reality, leveraging WIX’s website-building platform to bring the design concept to life.
APPROACH
Our approach to the NERF website project was both structured and collaborative, ensuring that the final product met the client’s needs while also empowering them to manage their site independently. Key steps in the process included:
Website Design and Build
Using WIX as the platform, we built the website pages based on the XD design files
Simultaneously, we designed a fully responsive mobile version of the site to cater to NERF’s on-the-go audience.
Regular updates were shared with Ellen Holmes, NERF’s representative, to ensure alignment and incorporate feedback at every stage.
Client Empowerment and Content Integration
Once the initial page templates were complete, we guided Ellen through the WIX platform via phone calls, explaining how to set up her account and inviting her as a collaborator.
Ellen then took charge of replacing dummy content with actual text and images, with our team standing by to answer her questions and ensure a smooth transition.
After all content was finalised, we replaced placeholder images with high-quality visuals provided by NERF.
Launch Preparation
After meticulous final checks, we assisted in upgrading to a WIX Premium Plan and connecting NERF’s custom domain to the site.
The website went live, offering a seamless browsing experience to visitors.
Post-Launch Optimization
To maximize the site’s visibility, we completed WIX’s built-in SEO checklist. This boosted the website's ranking on search engines, driving more traffic and ensuring better outreach for NERF’s initiatives

The project culminated in the successful launch of NERF’s new website, offering a professional, user-friendly digital platform aligned with their sustainability goals. Post-launch, we provided ongoing support to address any queries and ensure the site operated smoothly.
